Dr. Payam Mohseni is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Government at Harvard University. He is also the Iran Project Director and Fellow for Iran Studies at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs in the Harvard Kennedy School and the Co-Chair of the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe Study Group at Harvard's Center for European Studies. His teaching and research focus on Middle Eastern and Iranian politics, authoritarianism and hybrid regimes, and the political economy of development. Dr. Payam Mohseni holds a PhD in Government from Georgetown University. He obtained a B.A. in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in Conflict, Security, and Development from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London.
